For over 30 years, the Susan Chambers Dance Company (SCDC) has introduced area children and the entire community to an array of free classes and performances ranging from Classical Ballet to Broadway. Our outreach extends to all socioeconomic backgrounds and to students of all ages, including senior citizens.

SCDC has enlightened audiences at free community performances such as: Suwanee Days, Taste of Alpharetta, Alpharetta Days, local nursing homes, hospitals, and elementary schools.

Each year, SCDC performs an originally written musical by Susan Chambers at the Gwinnett Infinite Energy Theater, entitled "The Trial of Mother Goose" which meets AKS educational standards for the state of Georgia. Thousands of school children are bussed in during their school day to enjoy this magical journey about some of the world's most loved nursery rhyme characters. Many Title 1 schools are given free tickets, and some of the attendees have never seen live theatre until this experience. They can also go on a backstage tour and meet the cast-many of who is the same age as the audience. Military and senior discounts are also given to those in our community. The Girl Scouts of America troops attend each year and are awarded special badges to commemorate the experience. Click here to learn more about our Season and Ticketing information.

The Company is also honored to sponsor the Annual Foster Children's Christmas party, where we collect gifts for children who would go without during the holidays. We also offer a performance for the children and are touched every year by their gratitude. If you or your company would like to participate in this event, please contact 2017 marks the 18th year of this fabulous event and we would be grateful for your help.
